Only complete application packages will be reviewed for acceptance.
You may expect a decision on your application no later than one month after receipt of the complete application package by the Graduate Department.
AITE Graduate Scholars Program Description
Financial support up to a value of 20,000 dollars is available for outstanding Masters students in the transportation program. Scholarships are available both to people entering the transportation field for the first time and to people already working for transportation agencies and companies. The scholarship provides:
For full time students:
- Free tuition for three semesters or up to a value of 10,000 dollars
- Monthly stipend for one year (total value not more than 10,000 dollars)
- Experience in transportation research
For employees of participating agencies:
- Free tuition for four semesters or up to a value of 10,000 dollars
- Ten hour per week paid work release during semester at participating Agencies; see application for a list
Note that this is a matching program. UTRC provides up to 10,000 dollars to be matched by the participating transportation agency.

Applications should be submitted as early as possible prior to the beginning of the semester in which you wish to begin your studies. Application deadlines are January 12 for the January term, March 1 for the summer term and July 31 for the September term. We will process your application packet as soon as we have received all required documents. You may begin studies the semester directly following the receipt of your acceptance letter, provided the semester is not already in session.
Foreign students should allow at least 6-8 weeks to process student visa application or possibly longer, depending on your country of origin. NOTE: This process does not begin until you take your Form I-20 to your local U.S. consulate
