How to Apply

Applying as an international student is easy, though the process is a bit different depending on whether you're applying as a freshman or as a transfer student. If you have questions along the way, please contact us.


Apply as an International Freshman:

 You should apply as a freshman if you have never attended college before. Here's what to do. 

 
1. Submit the application. We encourage you to apply online using the SUNY Application. Although submitting an online application will expedite the admissions process, if you would prefer to apply on paper, you may download the State University of New York (SUNY) Application. Submit the US$40 fee with your application.
 
2. Arrange for your official school transcripts to be sent to us. All freshman applicants are required to submit an official transcript from their secondary school. All foreign academic transcripts must be evaluated by WES or a NACES approved evaluation service, and translated into English.

3. Two letters of recommendation.

4. 250 word essay or personal statement.

5. Submit your test scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS), SAT or ACT as required. International students attending high school in the USA must submit SAT or ACT scores with their application. They may also choose to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores to strengthen their application. International students attending high school overseas must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores if English is not their native tongue. SAT/ACT scores are not required, only optional for overseas' students. 

6. Submit the I-20 Packet.

Apply as an International Transfer:

1. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. For priority consideration, please submit your application as early as possible.
 
2. Submit the application. We encourage you to apply online using the SUNY Application. Although submitting an online application will expedite the admissions process, if you would prefer to apply on paper, you may download the State University of New York (SUNY) Application. Submit the US$40 fee with your application. 

3. Arrange for your official college transcripts to be sent to us. All transfer applicants must submit official transcripts of all work taken at any college or university, whether or not they expect to receive transfer credit. If you have attend a college or university overseas you must have the transcrpits evaluated by WES or a NACES approved evaluation service, and translated into English.

4. Two letters of recommendation.

3. Arrange for your official school transcripts to be sent to us.  All foreign academic transcripts must be evaluated by WES or a NACES approved evaluation service, and translated into English. 

4. Submit a short essay disscusing your career plans and resons(s) for pursuing a graduate degree in International Transportaion Magement.

5. Two Letters of Recommendation.

6. A current one page resume.

7. GMAT Scores

8. Submit your test scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

9. Submit the I-20 Packet.
