Ken Graham, Class of 1957
It is with deepest regrets that I must inform you of the death of our Classmate and Friend, Ken Graham.
His daughter Cindy called me to say he underwent hip surgery on Monday, and after complications, he died on Tuesday, 15 November.
There will be a viewing at McGinnis Funeral Parlor in Woodbury, NJ from 6 PM - 9 PM on Tuesday, 22 November and a funeral service at The Presbyterian Church of Woodbury on Wednesday beginning at 9:30 AM.

Fred Doll, Class of 1979
Doll, formerly a board member of UK brokerage Clarksons, is survived by a wife and adult son, according to media reports.
The industry veteran opened his consultancy in November 1999 following a three-year run with the world’s largest shipbroker and a tour of duty with Exxon.
He graduated the State University of New York Maritime College with a degree in Marine Transportation before sailing for what would later be renamed SeaRiver Maritime.

Dr. John Viscardi, October 1946
The SUNY Maritime College community mourns the passing of Dr. John Viscardi, October, ’46. Dr. Viscardi passed away suddenly on July 8, 2011, at the age of 85.
A highly respected and beloved pediatrician, Dr. Viscardi was also a husband, father of five children and grandfather to 10 children, as well as a friend and proud alumnus of SUNY Maritime College. He lived and worked in Manhasset, Long Island, for more than 40 years. He and his wife moved to Rowayton, CT, in 2008.

Vincent Ward passed away on January 6, 2011, from complications due to cancer.
Allen Joseph Flood, Class of 1946
On the night of June 12, 2010, Allen Joseph. Flood, passed away. Allen was the founder of The Allen J. Flood Companies and Huguenot National, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Muriel, his eight children (four of whom work in the companies), his brother, Eric, and 21 grandchildren. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our father; yet, celebrate his achievements as a husband, father, friend and a business man, whose actions were synonymous with professionalism and integrity.

John T. Cashin Jr., Class of 1953
John T. Cashin Jr., 78, of Hoboken passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Englewood Hospital. A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul R.C. Church, Hoboken. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. John was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on Oct. 2, 1931, attended Regis High School in New York City and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School. He received a B.S. in marine engineering from the New York Maritime College at Fort Schuyler and a M.S. in mechanical engineering from CCNY; he also completed business and management courses at Pace University, Stevens Institute of Technology and CCNY.
He was a longtime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. John was a teacher, both officially and unofficially. As the former, he taught members of the maritime union those subjects needed to upgrade their licenses. He had a curious mind and was happy to share his knowledge with others. His avocation was music; his primary instrument the trombone. As a teenager he assembled his own band. In later life he played with many New Jersey marching bands. His co-workers called him Jolly. He was that and so much more. Loving, judicious, kind, witty, humorous, curious, and smart. John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Afterwards, he sailed the world as a marine engineer, achieving his chief engineer's license in both steam and motor and later adding nuclear power technology and a professional engineer's license to his list of credentials.
Over the span of his career, he worked for several notable engineering firms, spending the last 20-plus years with New York City Transit’s Capital Program as a Mechanical Engineer. The devoted husband of Anna Mae, he was the loving father of John T. Cashin III and Ellen DeMasi and her husband, Peter; devoted grandfather of Amelia, Abigail, and Kieran; dear brother of Patricia Cashin and the late Cecilia Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
William J. Bochnik, Class of 1988
SUNY Maritime College mourns the passing of William J. Bochnik, ’88. Bill died suddenly on Sunday, January 24th. He was 43 years old and lived in White Plains, NY.
