Stafford Loan
If you are accepting an offer of a Stafford Loan for the first time at SUNY Maritime, you will need to complete the following two online documents*:
1. Electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) and
2. Stafford Entrance Counseling Session
*Note: All first time Maritime Stafford Loan borrowers must complete both the eMPN and Stafford Entrance Counseling before we can count your Stafford loan toward your bill.

The Stafford Electronic Master Promissory Note (eMPN) can be completed online at:
www.hesc.com
To complete your eMPN you will need to choose a lender for your Stafford Loan. We will have a "Preferred Lender" list available by June 4th. You may choose any lender you wish at any time.
