Welcome to SUNY Maritime, the first Maritime College in the Nation. Please take time to visit our sites through the links below to get a full understanding of the importance we place on campus life and student development.

Student Life is lead by the Dean of Students and ties together the offices of
Student Programs (Student Activities,
Orientation, &
Judicial Affairs),
Student Development & Retention (The SAIL Leadership Program, EOP, Accessibility Services & The Learning Assistance Center),
Conference & Auxiliary Services (Facility Rentals, Conferences, Guest Housing & Community Programs), and
Health Services (Medical and Mental Health). Through support, advocacy, programming, and services our offices work around the clock to enhance campus life and develop student leaders at Maritime College.
College life is much more than lectures, tests, books, and studying. It is also about meeting diverse people, experiencing new and exciting things, developing your personal skills, enhancing your interests or finding new ones, but most of all it is about growth. Students are encouraged to take advantage of what Maritime has to offer, whether it is a leadership opportunity, joining an organization or Student Government (SGA), seeking tutoring or attending an event. Getting involved will benefit you in and out of the classroom and will give you memories that will last a lifetime.
The areas of Student Programs, Conference & Auxiliary Services, and the Dean of Students are located in Baylis Hall. Student Development & Retention is located in Residence Hall A-1, above the Learning Assistance Center and Health Services is located in the gym. Please stop by to visit, make suggestions, or just hang out and once again take time to visit our web pages.
Maritime is an outstanding institution that blends class room theory and instruction with practical experience. Our focus and success stems from developing leaders for over 130 years. Thank you for considering SUNY Maritime College and I hope to see you soon. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or any staff member in Student Life.
