During student orientation, new students receive orientation in the form of lectures from various departments .
The University Police lecture before the students on the functions of the University Police, crime reporting ,fire safety, securing of personal property and campus parking rules.
The lecture discusses the structure of the University Police Department, gate security, room and personal property security, emergency and crime reporting, fire safety including equipment available, reporting of fires and building evacuations, and all parking rules and regulations including registration, assigned lots, and enforcement.
