The Admiral’s Fund
Maritime College asks all alumni, friends and parents to make a yearly Admiral’s Fund gift as the cornerstone of your personal giving to the College.
While endowed funds are invested to ensure the College’s future strength, the Admiral’s Fund is a “living endowment” allowing 100 percent of your gift to support today’s needs. In fact, $200,000 raised through the Admiral’s Fund provides the same benefit to the College as a $4,000,000 endowment. Gifts to the Admiral’s Fund provide annual spendable income that helps to underwrite the costs of enhancements to the College's programs.
Through gifts to the Admiral’s Fund, all Maritime supporters provide essential help with funds that can be spent in the current year on the college’s most important priorities – financial aid, academic enhancement, regimental life, the library and athletics, to name a few.
Maritime College needs and welcomes gifts of every amount from all alumni, friends and parents. Smaller gifts, when added to the efforts of others, multiply into major support for the important and distinctive mission or SUNY Maritime College. For those who can consider it, one way to set a goal for personal annual giving to Maritime is to consider becoming a Fort Schuyler Associate with a gift of $1,000.
Directing your Admiral’s Fund Gift
Donors may direct their Admiral’s Fund gift to any area of the College for current use, including:
- Unrestricted…..(where the President sees the most important need)
- Regimental scholarships
- General scholarship fund
- Luce Library
- Campus enhancement
- Academic department ________________
- Varsity Club (athletics) ________________
- Student life
