Passport
You must have a valid passport to re-enter the United States, which must be valid for at least 6 months after the date you enter or re-enter the United States. If your expiration date is approaching, it is important that you take the necessary actions to renew your passport before you intend to travel outside of the country.
You may renew your passport in either the United States or your country of citizenship. Contact your embassy or consulate for information.
If your passport is expired, but holds a valid visa, you may continue to use the visa for entry purposes. You must travel with both your new and old passport to show validation of both immigration documents at the port of entry.
