Highlights will include:

  • A rarely seen film taken by Thomas Edison featuring the students of the Nautical School
  • A selection of historical photographs of the early training ships, the St. Mary’s & Newport
  • Lecture & discussion about the early history of SUNY Maritime College 

Joseph Williams is Collection Development and Acquisitions Librarian at the Stephen B. Luce Library. He holds an MA in history, with a focus on the history of New York City, and an MLS from Queens College.
