About the Waterfront
Developing Leaders, Producing Champions
The mission of the Maritime College Waterfront is to Develop Leaders, Produce Champions on the water and in life by providing sailing, crew, and other water related learning opportunities for students and the community.
New York Maritime College’s is uniquely qualified for this purpose as a result of its maritime education mission, outstanding waterfront facilities, and more than 130 years of experience using on the water training as a learning laboratory.
This is accomplished by aggressively soliciting donations of boats, equipment, funds, and time and by implementing fee-based programs to provide the long-term, consistent support necessary to develop the best waterfront program in the country.
