If you are fortunate to have some free time - join our team! We would love to get you involved in the great things that are happening on Maritime’s waterfront. There are a number of ways to get involved based on your time, talents and interest including:

• Assist at the boat house – Do you have experience doing fiberglass work or repairing small engines? Do you want to learn? Lending a hand repairing boats or keeping the facility in top condition is a great way to be a part of the action

• Serve on a Race Committee – Join us for a Saturday or a whole weekend to help make one of the many collegiate or high school regattas we run each year a success.

• Host the  team – Do you live near one of the college sailing venues we visit each season such as the US Naval Academy, Georgetown, Harvard,/MIT/Boston College/Tufts, Old Dominion University, or Cornell University? Offering overnight accommodations (beds, couches and floor space) to our sailing team (usually around 6 students) for a Friday and Saturday night stretches our travel budget enabling us to compete in more events. • “Guest” Coach – How can our current students benefit from your knowledge of sailing on the East River or your subsequent experience? We would love to have you come to Maritime to share your expertise and insight during an afternoon practice, at an evening talk or at a weekend regatta. 

• Recruit in your area or at your yacht club – Alumni are often the best people to spread the word about Maritime College to potential students and potential boat donors. Help spread the word, or if you prefer, invite us to your yacht club or join us at a high school college fair in your area. Contact the waterfront director to learn how you can help!

• Host a Waterfront Alumni and Friends gathering – Would you like to get water-loving individuals with the common bond of Maritime together in your area? Host a Waterfront Alumni and Friends gathering at your yacht club, a local place of interest or even a raft-up in your local harbor.
