Prerequisites:
The course is for those preparing for or holding chief mate/master, or first assistant engineering officer/chief engineer positions.
In this 35-hour course, attendees will learn leadership and management skills appropriate for a master or chief mate on vessels of at least 3,000 GT, and chief engineer officer or first assistant engineer officer on 3,000 kW/4,000 HP propulsion vessels with manned engine rooms, or designated duty engineer in a periodically unmanned engine room.
