Friday, October 12: Exclusive Reunion Events

Ancient Mariner Golf Outing

Hosted by the Maritime College Alumni Association

7:15 a.m.: Breakfast and registration
8:30 a.m.: Shot gun start
1:30 p.m.: Luncheon
3:30 p.m.: Raffle and prize drawings

Reunion Dinner Cruise

6 p.m.: Check in on campus at the Waterfront behind McMurray Hall
6:30 p.m.: Cruise departs from Olivet Pier
9:30 p.m.: Cruise returns to campus

Price: $150 per person

Enjoy dinner, drinks and dancing with your shipmates and friends! The tour leaves from campus.  Pre-registration is required to attend.

Friday, October 12: General Events

Will It Float Race

4 p.m.

Waterfront at McMurray Hall

Cheer for your student and their friends as they build boats out of cardboard and duct tape and race them across the East River basin on campus.

MUG Meal on the Mess Deck

6 p.m.

Mess Deck in Vander Clute Hall

Enjoy dinner with your Mariner Under Guidance on the Mess Deck, the main campus dining hall.

Reunion class breakfast

9 a.m.

A complimentary continental breakfast is open to all reunion class alumni who graduated in a year ending in 5 or 8. 

Pass in review and heritage hall induction

10:30 a.m.

St. Mary's Pentagon

During the Pass in Review ceremony, classes celebrating their 50th reunion and above are invited to march in the morning's ceremony and to inspect the new class of MUGs.

The Pass in Review includes an address from Rear Adm. Michael Alfultis, the college president, and a special recognition of influential alumni.

Reunion Tailgate

11 a.m. to 1 hour after the game ends

Parking Lot 5, in front of Riesenberg Hall

Join fellow alumni at a special tailgate lot just steps from Reinhart Field. Bring your own grill and beverages, and enjoy a nice afternoon with your friends and classmates.  Pre-registration is required to attend.

All alumni are welcome to this sit-down luncheon for a delicious meal and remarks from Rear Adm. Alfultis. Pre-registration is required to attend.

March onto Reinhart Field to help kick off the Homecoming game. Carry a banner with your class year and join the MUG class on the field. Reunion classes and their families are welcome to participate.

Paddy's on the Bay

Join the Maritime College Alumni Association at a favorite watering hole just steps from campus. All alumni and their guests are welcome. Pre-registration is required; the price includes soda, beer, house wine and appetizers.

Throughout the day, college librarians will be on hand to talk to you about your days at Maritime and record your memories as part of an ongoing oral history project.

Alumni Men's soccer game

8 - 10 a.m.

Join your former teammates for a soccer game on Reinhart Field.

Continental Breakfast

8:30 - 10 a.m.

St. Mary's Pentagon in Fort Schuyler

Join other special guests under the tents in the historic St. Mary's Pentagon for a continental breakfast. The breakfast is before the traditional Pass in Review ceremony, where alumni celebrating their 50-year and up reunions have the chance to inspect the MUG class.

Lacrosse alumni from all years are invited to get together to play one more game.

Pass in Review and Heritage Hall Induction

10:30 a.m.

St. Mary's Pentagon in Fort Schuyler

Watch the traditional Pass in Review ceremony, where older alumni inspect the MUGs of the Class of 2022 to see if they pass muster.

During the Heritage Hall Induction ceremony, the college recognizes a few alumni for their contributions to their industry and to their alma mater. They will be memorialized in Heritage Hall, located in the back of Vander Clute Hall.

10 a.m. to half-time

Maritime Industry Museum at Fort Schuyler

The museum will host a silent auction of hot-ticket items, including vacations, sailing cruises, dinners and more. Winners will be announced at half-time.

Alumni men's basketball game

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Riesenberg Gymnasium

Get together with your classmates and others to play again on the newly refinished basketball court.

Waterfront activities

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Waterfront at McMurray Hall

Take a 20-minute tour to see the campus from the water with a staff member onboard one of the college's surfboat.

Or you can take out our stand-up paddle boards, kayaks or sailboats and explore the East River Basin, Olivet Pier and the shores of Maritime College. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No experience necessary and life preservers will be provided.

All are welcome to celebrate the life and memory of Richard Pusatere '03, who was killed in the tragic El Faro accident in 2015.
