At first, financial aid applications can be intimidating, but our expert staff will help you navigate the process until you cross the commencement stage, degree in hand. There are many different ways to fund your education, including federal and state aid, scholarships, grants and loans. To be considered for most types of aid, you must first file a FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

2017-2018 Deadlines

February 1

  • File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

April 1

  • File supplemental application for summer aid, including summer sea term

  • Optional: Apply for Parent and/or Graduate PLUS loans

  • Optional: Begin to apply for additional loans

June 7

  • Accept loans and complete all required documents in Maritime Self-Service
