Jannette D'Esposito

Jannette started as the reference librarian at SUNY Maritime in 2015. Her responsibilities include managing the periodical collection; handling the library’s interlibrary loan services; cataloging new acquisitions and assisting with archival research requests. Additionally she provides reference and circulation services to the college community. Jannette was the ship’s librarian aboard the T.S. Empire State VI during Summer Sea Term 2016 and has been appointed as a consultant archivist on three grant-funded projects at the library. Her most recently completed project involved digitizing 1500 photographs and 1500 register pages from the Sailors’ Snug Harbor archival collection for inclusion on the Digital Culture of Metropolitan New York website. Currently she is working on an archival project to arrange and describe a large portion of SUNY Maritime College’s early records.
