EMPIRE STATE VI RETURNS TO MARITIME PORT
The Empire State VI came home to Maritime’s Olivet Pier on Saturday, November 21, 2009. The ship has been in dry-dock at the Brooklyn Navy Yard since mid-October, 2009, where it underwent regulatory inspections as required by ABS and US Coast Guard. While the ship was in dry-dock the entire hull was painted and coated. Regulatory inspections are required twice every five years.
