Step-By-Step Tutorial on Joining NY-Alert for SUNY Maritime

1. Go to www.suny.edu/sunyalertsec

2. Upon entering the SUNY System Administration Secure Site, find "Maritime" in the campus category.


3. Under "User ID" and "Password" please enter your standard student or faculty username and password that you use for your Maritime email login.


4. You may want to not check the "Remember Me" checkbox if you are not on a personal computer.

5. After choosing the appropriate school and entering your proper username and password, click the Login button.

6. You have now been taken to the SUNY Emergency Alert page. In order to obtain NY Alerts, you must fill in at least the Required Fields which are noted with an asterisk (*). Please note, email addresses and/or phone numbers entered will allow you to gain access to updates on SUNY emergency alerts. Standard charges will apply for texts and voice notifications when cell numbers are listed. Once all information is entered, please click the Submit button.


7. You have now been taken to a summary of information entered on the previous form. If all information is correct click Confirm. If there are errors in the information click Edit and you will be taken back to the form. Once edits are made, click Submit and then Confirm to process your information.


Congratulations! You have now signed up for SUNY-Alert!
