OBJECTIVE:

To engage my considerable skills and experience in ways most challenging for me and most beneficial to my family, country, and client or employer.

SUMMARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

 

·         Developed and managed a market research section for one of the world’s top ocean carriers
·         Co-authored two textbooks on international trade
·      Initiatedand obtained approval of a 5-course undergraduate Minor in Intermodal and Maritime Security at SUNY Maritime College, jointly offered by the Marine Transportation Department and the Department of Global Business and Transportation, beginning fall semester 2006.

  • Directed Exercise Trojan Horse at SUNY Maritime College August 1-4 2006; a collaborative exercise of vessel and facility security plans under the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002.

·         Elected chair of the Academy’s curriculum committee 2002-2004
·        Organized MARSEC-CON’04, a conference on Maritime Security May 16-18, 2004; keynoted by former Defense Secretary William J. Perry and Admiral Kevin J. Eldridge USCG. I was one of four principal organizers.

  • Publicly advocated support of the charter conversion at meetings of 3 city councils and 6 municipal advisory councils, all of which voted unanimous support.
