10.3 Circulation

The reference desk also serves as a Circulation desk, or place you go to check out books that "circulate." (circulation policy) So, what services are available at the circulation desk?

date_due • Check out books and other materials. You must present your ID card in order to use this service.
• Borrow reserve materials held there for use by everyone in your class.
• Request traces and recalls on materials that are not available. A "trace" can be placed on a book that according to the catalog is available, but is not on the shelf. You may place a "recall" on a book that is currently loaned for more than a 28-day period.

• Renew your books, look at a list of books you have checked out (with due dates), and check the status of your hold requests or fines due.
