Center for Teaching Excellence

Center for Teaching Excellence

The Center for Teaching Excellence promotes a culture of learning through effective student-centered teaching. Throughout the year, the Center offers mentoring and numerous events focused on pedagogy, assessment, educational technology and innovation in teaching. The Center also offers drop-in support from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday offering faculty a more personalized learning experience. Located on the second floor of the Stephen B. Luce Library, the Center provides an ideal place to work and network with colleagues.

Center Objectives

We believe that like the faculty it serves, the Center for Teaching Excellence is dynamic, harnessing research-driven approaches towards pedagogy, assessment, and educational technology, highlighting and sharing reflective practices, and creating mentoring networks. The Center will support faculty with hands-on assistance and by hosting events that:

  • Share and promote new and evolving educational tools and resources.

  • Allow colleagues and peers to share research and best classroom practices.
