Alex Chung

Dr. Chung received his Ph.D. from the City University of New York Graduate Center in 2009. He joins SUNY Maritime as an assistant professor of finance in 2023. Previously, he was an assistant professor at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts and at Norwich University in Vermont. Dr. Chung has been conducting research and teaching in the areas of ship/corporate finance, personal finance, financial markets, international economics, and investment. He has published a number of papers in those areas, such as International Journal of Business, Journal of Emerging Markets, and International Research Journal of Applied Finance. Currently He serves as an editor of the International Review of Business Research Papers (IRBRP). Chung is a member of American Economic Association, Financial Management Association, and Southern Finance Association.
