Christopher Lucarelli

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in metallurgical engineering, Christopher was employed in the steel industry as a process metallurgist at AL Tech Specialty Steel in Watervliet, NY. As a process metallurgist, he reviewed and evaluated all manufacturing operations in various departments to ensure correct processing of materials. Working with the Quality Assurance Department, he prepared for and coordinated internal and external audits. In addition, he collaborated with production supervision to implement and evaluate manufacturing modifications to improve productivity as well as supervised and trained hourly inspection personnel in the review of hot working operations.

During this time, Christopher began to pursue an M.B.A. (Human Resource/Finance Concentration) at Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. After leaving industry, he completed this degree and continued to earn an M.S. in Industrial & Management Engineering and a Ph.D. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. For over 25 years, Christopher was on the faculty of The College of Saint Rose in the Huether School of Business. During this period, he developed and taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management, quality management, project management, statistics, and quantitative analysis.

Christopher has been an adjunct faculty member at SUNY Maritime since 2010.
