
Captain Abhinandan Prasad joined SUNY Maritime College in 2023, bringing with him over two decades of seagoing experience. He holds a Master's Unlimited License from Warsash Maritime School, UK, and has commanded a wide range of vessels — from oil tankers to bulk carriers — trading across global routes.
At SUNY Maritime, Captain Prasad teaches a diverse portfolio of courses within the Marine Transportation Department, including Celestial Navigation, Bridge Resource Management, Rules of the Road, and Advanced Cargo Operations. His teaching career spans both India and international online programs, reflecting his dedication to accessible maritime education.
