Mark Koldras is a graduate of SUNY Maritime College, Class of 2013, where he earned his degree in Marine Transportation. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard Second Mate Unlimited License, a 1600 Ton Master's License, and an Unlimited Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) certification.
Mark's seagoing experience includes service aboard offshore supply vessels and as a Navigational Watch Officer on the Empire State VI. Following his time at sea, he served as a full-time Senior Lecturer in the Marine Transportation Department at SUNY Maritime, where he instructed cadets in navigation, seamanship, and bridge operations.
Currently, Mark serves as a Firefighter with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) and continues to share his maritime expertise as a part-time Adjunct Instructor in the Professional Education and Training (PMT) Department at SUNY Maritime College. His career reflects a commitment to public service, safety, and maritime excellence.
