THROGGS NECK, NY – Freshman second baseman Dylan Payano (Flushing, NY) of the Maritime College baseball team, the 2026 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, has received All-Region recognition from three separate organizations. He was named First Team All-Region by both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) while also being chosen to the All-ECAC Team by the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC). Payano was one of four Privateers to earn All-Region honors this season.

He scored 48 runs this season, which tied for the conference lead. Payano was also fourth in the conference with 56 hits and 46 RBIs, and his .415 batting average was the second-highest for a single-season in program history. He added five home runs and went 15-for-16 in stolen base attempts.

D3baseball.com, ECAC, and American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)

Joining Payano on the D3baseball.com All-Region First Team was senior shortstop Randy Ventura (Syosset, NY). Ventura was also named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Second Team. Senior third baseman Chris Picarella (Levittown, NY), meanwhile, earned a place on the D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team. Senior first baseman Alex Bardi (Wantagh, NY) was selected to the All-ECAC Team, becoming Maritime's first-ever two-time All-ECAC honoree.

The Privateers tied for first in the Skyline Conference this season, setting a school record with 16 conference victories during the regular season. Overall, Maritime finished 21-16 in 2026.
