University Police
University police officers are available 24/7. If you need help, call them at (718) 409-7311.
Nine university police officers and five security officers keep Maritime’s students, faculty, and staff, safe. They patrol campus, check ID at the front gate, and offer a variety of services to keep students safe, including safety escorts, motorist assists, and emergency response and notification.
Everyone with a campus email automatically will receive emails in case of an emergency. Campus police also send notifications via text message through RAVE emergency alerts.

Weapons on Campus
Firearms and dangerous weapons of any type are not permitted on campus. Intentional use, possession, or sale of firearms or other dangerous weapons by anyone is strictly forbidden and is a violation of state and federal law as well as a violation of the student code of rights and responsibilities, and will be dealt with accordingly.
