Friday, October 18

Will It Float Race

4 p.m.

Waterfront at McMurray Hall

Cheer for your student and their friends as they build boats out of cardboard and duct tape and race them across the East River basin on campus.


MUG Meal on the Mess Deck


6 p.m.

Mess Deck in Vander Clute Hall

Enjoy dinner with your Mariner Under Guidance on the Mess Deck, the main campus dining hall.

Men's Soccer Game

7 p.m.

Reinhart Field

Cheer on Privateer men's soccer as they go head-to-head with SUNY Old Westbury. Special Homecoming gift to the first 50 fans!

Movie under the stars

8 p.m.

Location TBD

Bring a blanket or a chair and come watch a movie on a jumbo screen. Film to be announced.

Saturday, October 19

Alumni who used to play Privateer men's soccer will get together on Reinhart Field to play this reunion game.

Continental Breakfast

8:30 - 10 a.m.

St. Mary's Pentagon in Fort Schuyler

Join other special guests under the tents in the historic St. Mary's Pentagon for a continental breakfast. The breakfast is before the traditional Pass in Review ceremony, where alumni celebrating their 50-year and up reunions have the chance to inspect the MUG class.


Alumni Men's Lacrosse Game


10 - 11:30 a.m.

Reinhart Field

Former players of Privateer men's lacrosse will take the field again for a game with their former teammates.

Pass in Review and Heritage Hall Induction

10:30 a.m.

St. Mary's Pentagon in Fort Schuyler

Watch the traditional Pass in Review ceremony, where older alumni inspect the MUGs of the Class of 2023 to see if they pass muster.

During the Heritage Hall Induction ceremony, the college recognizes a few alumni for their contributions to their industry and to their alma mater. They will be memorialized in Heritage Hall, located in the back of Vander Clute Hall.

maritime museum auction

10 a.m. to half-time

Maritime Industry Museum at Fort Schuyler

The museum will host a silent auction of hot-ticket items, including vacations, sailing cruises, dinners and more. Winners will be announced at half-time.

Alumni Men's basketball game

11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Riesenberg Gym

Former Privateer basketball players will face off against each other in this reunion game.

Waterfront activities

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Waterfront at McMurray Hall

Take a 20-minute tour to see the campus from the water with a staff member onboard one of the college's surfboat.

Or you can take out our stand-up paddle boards, kayaks or sailboats and explore the East River Basin, Olivet Pier and the shores of Maritime College. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. No experience necessary and life preservers will be provided.

Bring your younger children for face-painting, bounce houses and other fun activities.
