SUNY Maritime College – Facilities Engineering Students – Receive $5,000 After Presenting at the 2024 7x24 Exchange Metro New York Chapter – University Challenge 

SUNY Maritime students, USSF ROTC Mark Hofliena and Cadet Anthony Mirando of the Facilities Engineering team accepted an award on behalf of their capstone team at 7x24 University. Their project featured an emergency generator renewal/replacement/upgrade for Mather Hospital, that captured the recognition from a distinguished audience of facilities and infrastructure professionals. The team received a $5,000 check on behalf of the School of Engineering along with $250 gift cards for each student. Also, they can establish a 7x24 Exchange Student Chapter on campus in Fall 2024 to foster professional development for students in this field.
