Freshman Student Checklist - Fall 2020

  • Submit your $100 deposit along with your Statement of Intention Form

    • Your login information to submit your enrollment deposit is your Maritime ID number (ex. M0012345) and your PIN is your 6-digit date of birth (MMDDYY)

  • Complete and submit your 2020-2021 FAFSA  (School Code: 002853)

  • Accepted Student Day has been cancelled. Please keep an eye to your personal email for more information and resources regarding your next steps in the enrollment process.

  • Access "My Maritime" E-mail - (Please allow 2 business days from when you submitted your enrollment deposit to complete this process; you will receive a confirmation e-mail with details.)

    • An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided on your application confirming receipt of your enrollment deposit. This message will include all details related to accessing your Maritime E-Mail.

    • Your username will be your first name, the first three letters of your last name, followed by a period and your incoming year. So if your name is Michelle Smith and you first enrolled in 2017, your username will be michellesmi.17@sunymaritime.edu

    • Your password will be the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name (both capitalized), followed by a dash, and the last five digits of your Maritime College ID. If Michelle Smith's ID is M00065789, her password would be MS-65789.

  • Access Maritime Self-Service - Please allow 2 business days from when you submitted your enrollment deposit to complete this process.

    • You can only access Maritime Self-Service after you have established your Maritime E-mail account.

    • You will accept your Financial Aid via Maritime Self-Service.

    • Billing information will also become available via Maritime Self-Service at the appropriate time prior to the start of each semester.

  • January 15, 2020 - Applicants accepted via Early Decision must submit their Enrollment Deposit and Statement of Intention.

  • June 1, 2020 (extended from May 1) - Submit Enrollment Deposit, Statement of Intention, and accepted any scholarship offer by submitting scholarship intention.

  • May 15, 2020 - Submit your application for your Transportation Worker Identification Card - TWIC (domestic regimental students only), apply for US Passport (or apply for renewal if you are a current US Passport holder and your current passport expires before October 2021) and register for placement testing (registration link available later in the spring).

  • June 8, 2020 - Submit housing application, and accept financial aid

  • June 11, 2020 (9:00am) - June 13, 2020 (5:00pm) - Online Placement Testing window (Students will receive all details via email)

  • July 7, 8, or 9, 2020 (subject to change-

  • August 3, 2020 - Submit official final high school transcripts, college transcripts, AP score reports, and/or IB; final deadline for domestic regimental students to apply for TWIC and to apply for new or renewed US Passport (you will not be allowed to begin Indoctrination in August without a TWIC and your US Passport).

  • TBD (subject to change- Confirm payment of full college bill, including final uniform payment and completion of optional health waiver.

  • August 12, 2020 (subject to change- Submit health forms via email to healthservices@sunymaritime.edu

  • August 26, 2020 (subject to change) - Regimental Students attend Indoctrination

  • September 6, 2020 (subject to change) - Move-in for non-Regimental students

  • September 8, 2020 (subject to change) - First day of classes.
