
Ezgi Uzel, PhD is a Professor of Marketing at Beykoz University, Faculty of Business and Administrative Sciences - Istanbul, Turkey. She is also director of Institute of Graduate Programs. She has been teaching as an adjunct in the Global Business and Transportation department at SUNY Maritime College since 2007. She received her MS degree in SUNY Maritime College. Then she received her PhD degree in Business Management at the Institute of Social Sciences, Yeditepe University, Istanbul in 2013. Her research focuses on logistics, supply chain management, services marketing, industrial marketing, marketing research and online retailing. Professor Uzel has authored and contributed to numerous books, book chapters, articles, and reports on logistics and marketing. Professor Uzel has considerable experience in the development and delivery of academic courses and professional training programs in the areas of marketing, logistics, supply chain management, transportation management, warehouse and inventory management, project management, operations management and retail logistics. In addition to her academic career, she has experience in business life, worked in a marketing department of a global logistics company as an Inside Sales Consultant. She holds several advanced certifications, including a specialty in carriage of dangerous goods on road, sea and railway based on her DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) License from the FTA (Freight Transport Association of UK). In addition to her academic career, Professor Uzel currently works as a consultant and a trainer providing courses for employees of different logistics and transportation firms to prepare them successfully for the qualification exams authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
