Graduate Student Checklist - Fall 2021

  • Submit your Statement of Intention by the date listed on your acceptance letter.

  • Complete and submit your 2021-2022 FAFSA  (School Code: 002853).

  • Attend Virtual Accepted Students Series (live & recorded events upcoming) - please keep an eye to your personal email for more information and resources regarding your next steps in the enrollment process.

  • Log into your Maritime email account upon receipt of your Statement of Intention.

    • An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided on your application confirming receipt of your enrollment deposit. This message will include all details related to accessing your Maritime E-Mail.

    • Your username will be your first name, the first three letters of your last name, followed by a period and your incoming year. So if your name is Michelle Smith and you first enrolled in 2017, your username will be michellesmi.17@sunymaritime.edu.

    • Your password will be the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name (both capitalized), followed by a dash, and the last five digits of your Maritime College ID. If Michelle Smith's ID is M00065789, her password would be MS-65789.

  • Access Maritime Self-Service - (Please allow 2 business days from when your Statement of Intention is confirmed to complete this process. You will receive an email confirmation with additional details).

    • You can only access Maritime Self-Service after you have established your Maritime E-mail account.

    • You will accept your Financial Aid via Maritime Self-Service.

    • Billing information will also become available via Maritime Self-Service at the appropriate time prior to the start of each semester. 

  • TBD - Log into Maritime Self-Service to register for courses.

  • May 14, 2021 - License Students: Submit your application for your Transportation Worker Identification Card - TWIC (domestic regimental students only), apply for US Passport (or apply for renewal if you are a current US Passport holder and your current passport expires before October 2022).

  • June 7, 2021 - Submit the following:

  • July 22, 2021 - For only in-person students:

  • August 2, 2021 - Submit official college transcript(s) to the Office of Admissions.

  • August 27, 2021 - Submit final uniform payment (regimental students only)

  • August 30, 2021 - Regimental Students attend Indoctrination (bring in vaccination cards if proof of vaccination has not already been submitted to health services).

  • September 7, 2021 - First day of classes.

** Full college bill to be released middle to late July (payments and payment plans inquiries can begin as issued).
