Fall 2022 Accepted Students: You can formally accept your offer of admission by submitting your Statement of Intention Form by the date listed on your acceptance letter.

Graduate Student Checklist - Fall 2022

  • Submit your Statement of Intention by the date listed on your acceptance letter.

  • Complete and submit your 2022-2023 FAFSA  (School Code: 002853).

  • Log into your Maritime E-mail account upon receipt of your Statement of Intention.

    • An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provided on your application confirming receipt of your enrollment deposit. This message will include all details related to accessing your Maritime E-Mail.

    • Your username will be your first name, the first three letters of your last name, followed by a period and your incoming year. So if your name is John Smith and you first enrolled in 2022, your username will be johnsmi.22@sunymaritime.edu.

    • Your password will be the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name (both capitalized), followed by a dash, and the last five digits of your Maritime College ID. If John Smith's ID is M00165789, her password would be JS-65789.

  • Access Maritime Self-Service - (Please allow 2 business days from when your Statement of Intention is confirmed to complete this process. You will receive an email confirmation with additional details).

    • You can only access Maritime Self-Service after you have established your Maritime E-mail account.

    • You will accept your Financial Aid via Maritime Self-Service.

    • Billing information will also become available via Maritime Self-Service at the appropriate time prior to the start of each semester. 

  • Review degree curricula and course descriptions.
  • May 16, 2022 - Regimental students: Submit your application for your Transportation Worker Identification Card - TWIC (domestic regimental students only), apply for US Passport (or apply for renewal if you are a current US Passport holder and your current passport expires before October 2023).

  • June 6, 2022 - Submit the following:

  • August 1, 2022 - Submit official final college transcript(s) to the Office of Admissions (from all institutions attended).

  • August 8, 2022 - Confirm payment of full college bill (Understanding Your Bill), including final uniform payment, completion of optional health insurance waiver, and set up Student ID Card (upload photo instructions located here, if in-person).

  • August 17, 2022 - Indoctrination (Phase 1) & Move-in day (Regimental Students).

  • August 25, 2022 - Move-in day (Civilian Students)

  • TBD - Attend Orientation Part 2

  • August 29, 2022 - First day of classes.
