Health Services works to ensure that students pursuing U.S. Coast Guard licenses meet the physical and medial requirements established by the federal government.
Upon acceptance to Maritime, all license students must have a physical that meets U.S. Coast Guard standards. If your student has had a physical within the past year, your health-care provider may transcribe the information onto the college's health forms and the USCG physical form, the CG-719K.
If your student has not had a physical in the past year, you may make an appointment for one on campus.
License students must also have a color-vision test that meets U.S. Coast Guard standards. If your health-care provider does not offer an accepted exam, your student may take the test on campus during orientation or indoctrination.
