Leanne Ma is a fiction writer and adjunct professor. Her work has been published in the Colorado Review, Gulf Coast, and Salamander. She was awarded the 2024 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers and nominated for the Pushcart Prize. She joined Maritime in Fall 2024, and teaches Freshman Composition (Eng 101), Intro to Creative Writing (Eng 251), and Forbidden Lit. & Banned Culture (Humn 221).
