Alexia Velazquez, USMC

Gunnery Sergeant Alexia Velazquez is a native of New Haven, Connecticut. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June 2014 and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island for recruit training. She trained as a radio operator and, after promoting to SNCO, became a transmissions chief. She has served with the air wing, and 3d Marine Littoral Regiment as a communicator. She has also been a drill instructor on Paris Island, and deployed to Vietnam in support of remains recovery.
