Prepare for your future through the engine of upward mobility
At Maritime we understand and value the importance of real, hands-on experience. Its what make us stand out, and sets
us apart. Our strong connections to the global maritime industry, and convenient location in New York City, the largest
port on the East Coast, make for a wide variety of credit-granting internships available. While learning to operate and
run a vessel on our state of the art Training Ship EMPIRE STATE VII and commercial vessels (License Cadets) or studying
abroad in one of the many programs (Traditional), you will make memories and see the world at Maritime.
Our majors include coursework and training that will prepare students to earn a U.S. Coast Guard
Deck or Engine License. Upon earning your license, you will be qualified for positions on any
commercial vessel.
In order to participate in the United States Coast Guard Licensure, you are required to be a member of the Regiment of Cadets.
