biography

Carolina Bersani is a 1/C Intern in the Regiment of Cadets, originally from Italy but currently resides in the Bronx. She is pursuing a Master’s in Shipping and Logistics while finishing her B.S. in International Transportation and Trade. During her time at Maritime, she held diverse leadership roles, including being a Lead Ambassador and serving as the Deputy Regimental Commander. In previous years she also held the position of Admissions Liaison and Logistics Indoctrination Officer. Carolina is actively involved in campus organizations like the Ski and Snowboarding Club, Women in Maritime Club, Rules and Regulations Committee, and the Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team. She has attended the Women in Maritime Leadership Conference for three consecutive years and participated in a month-long study abroad program in Southeast Asia. Carolina also completed internships in various branches of the industry, including finance, renewable energy, chartering, and ship operations. As she approaches the end of her time at Maritime, she remains committed to learning and contributing to the institution.
