Please join us in honoring RADM Michael A. Alfultis, USMS, Ph.D. and his wife Kim, as we recognize his decade of service to SUNY Maritime College.   

The event begins at 5pm with a social hour overlooking the NYC skyline, including heavy hors d'oeuvres & drinks, followed by a  formal ceremony and concluding with the Admiral's Afterglow under the stars. 

A Commitment to Fort Schuyler: Against all odds, Admiral Alfultis secured the first multi-purpose-built training ship for the College as part of a $1.5 billion program.  He forged strong bonds with the Alumni Association, launched the SUNY Maritime Foundation, secured nearly $100,000,00 in funding from SUNY for capital construction projects and advanced the institution’s academic programs and reputation.  
 
Both he and his wife Kim are renowned for their support and encouragement of the student community at Maritime.  They have donated over $200,000 to the College and have endowed the Alfultis Family Scholarship in perpetuity.  As a couple they have fostered a strong campus community, hosting innumerable homemade dinners in their home for students, actively participating in campus activities and leading the community with a visible, supportive and productive presence.

Any net proceeds from the event will provide scholarship for students.
